Español Para Niños
This is a Spanish learning site for children and parents (or abuelos!). It offers the opportunity of practicing and learning Spanish. We have many interactive and non- interactive activities that are fun and educational. We also offer resources like bilingual books, and educational links to other interesting sites.
Parents and Teachers:
We have now worksheets that you can download and print - ready to be used in class to practice vocabulary.
Spanish Pronunciation There are some sounds that are different in the two language but -in general- only a few constitute a real problem for English speakers. The syllable division is also different in the two languages. There is a slight difference between the Spanish spoken in Spain and the Spanish spoken in Latin America. See our Spanish Pronunciation Guide for more information.
The Spanish Alphabet
The Spanish alphabet is similar to its English counterpart except for the letter Ñ. The letters representing the sounds (CH, LL, RR), formerly part of the alphabet, are no longer included in the Spanish alphabet, at least not as separate letters in dictionaries. The Spanish H is always silent and the letters K and W are rarely used.
